Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
|
Usually an end of season thread ... but our season IS effectively over
Zabaleta may decide for himself that he has had enough of Premier League football and Adrian may decide that he will never displace Fabianski (he won’t) but of the rest ..
Carroll : out of contract, physically shot, mentally never at it. Good riddance Hernandez: expensive, half hearted , doesn’t suit our team. If Valencia want him now take the money & save £140k a week Perez: not a striker , not a wide player. Find him a home in Spain & give Holland some games Obiang: take the offer from Italy. Give Coventry some minutes if we need a back up Masuaku: not a winger, certainly not a left back. Offload to France in the summer & replace with a left back. An actual left back Ogbonna: jittery & error prone , not commanding in the slightest. Shift to Italy in the summer
Arnautovic: off to China
Any more?

I hope you were resting your vagina on a soft cushion when you wrote that.

Our season is about which mid table position we will finish in.

The chances of winning anything is over, but we have to now try to finish as strongly as possible. Give some youth a crack as and when, make ourselves attractive to future signings.
Pretty much agree with your players to offload.

Did we really need another Vagina knicker wetting thread? Discussed every other thread

Reid, Ogbonna, Zabaleta, Masuaku, Obiang, Sanchez, Wilshere, Aranoutovic, Carroll, Chicharito, Lucas and Antonio can all leave, but they are hardly gonna shift them all at once!
Plenty of rebuilding ahead and I trust Pellegrini and Husillos to sort this out and make us compete in the cups, and for Europe

The season is over in terms of targetting something worthwhile, unless 7th spot can become a Europa league place?

I’d forgotten Reid & Wilshere who seem semi retired. Making a lot of changes at once is difficult which is why I wouldn’t be against losing Obiang , Hernandez & even Perez in this window and taking a look at Coventry, Silva & Holland.

It really depends on what kind of transfer budget we have for the summer.
Hernandez has frustrated wherever he's been, but he's still an effective goal poacher and, imho, very much worth his place in the team for that. Particularly with Pellegrini's (reportedly) favoured 4-4-2.

Going forward I’d see us with Arnautovic (or Maxi Gomez) playing with Lanzini (or Nasri) rather than 2 out and out strikers. Hernandez is a finisher and best used chasing a game when someone is defending against us. Just don’t think we can justify a £140k a week sub.

I don't get this 'best used when chasing a game' thing.
His role and his strength is scoring goals. It's not just when we're chasing a game that we need to score goals.

When the game is played normally and both teams are attacking he struggles to get involved. When we don’t have the ball he is a liability as he doesn’t contribute
As with his Man U / Real days if you have a team pinned in or they are sitting in by choice and defending a lead or point he is someone you want as he will find the spaces and finish.

That's true, but many top scorers over the years have done nothing in 88 minutes, but been in the right place at the right time when needed.
It just seems such a waste to have someone with his eye for goal and proven ability to score sitting on the bench.

He might as well have sat on the bench last night. Be interested to see his stats for the game. On the bright side he won’t have needed to clean his boots this morning

Does anyone remain who wants to reaffirm their belief that Adrian is just as good as Fabianski?
Awful last night

Yeah because running around a lot with snot hanging out of his nose making crunching challenges is Hernandez's game all day long innit?

I don’t think I’ve seen Adrian as flappy and shaky as I did last night. That must be terrifying for the defenders in front of him.
Ogbonna was all over the place, but maybe it was because he was having to cover for the useless Massuaku. If anyone had any doubts about whether he is a left back or not, this game proved it. As for Ogbonna, did we really swap Tomkins for him?
In the middle, Obiang was so pedestrian and uncommitted. He should be ashamed with that performance.
Diangana was anonymous.
Apart from the deflected shot that hit the post, Hernandez did absolutely nothing.
Carroll is shot.
All the above probably needto go, with the exception maybe of Diangana.

Hernandez needs moving on, he’s on big wedge and rarely contributes.
Whether that’s down to him or not is another argument.
Gutting because when we signed him I thought we’d finally signed a proper striker.

Surely Carroll is as utterly hopeless in training as he is during games. What is Pellegrini doing continuely playing him?
What CENTRE FORWARD gets taken off at HT when 2-0 down to a league one side?
Leave him in the U23's until his contract is up
